The K-State volleyball team will put its highest Top 25 ranking of the season on the line when it travels to Lubbock, Texas, for a matchup with the unranked Texas Tech Red Raiders on Wednesday.

After last week's wins over Missouri and Iowa State, the Wildcats (17-6) moved up to No. 12 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll. K-State has a 16-1 record against unranked teams this season.

Texas Tech has lost 12 straight conference matches and has a record of 7-15 overall and 1-12 in the conference.

The Wildcats won their fifth consecutive match against Texas Tech earlier this season when they swept the Red Raiders at home.

K-State has struggled at times on the road this season, with a 6-3 record away from Ahearn Field House. The last time the Wildcats lost in Lubbock was in 2001.

The Red Raiders, meanwhile, have had trouble winning at home this season with a 3-7 record at the United Spirit Arena.

K-State coach Suzie Fritz is 11-2 in her career against the Red Raiders, and the Wildcats are 19-8 in the overall series. The match starts at 7 p.m. and can be heard on 1350 KMAN.
