A Manhattan man was issued a citation for carrying a concealed weapon Wednesday night, according to a Riley County Police Department report. Ruberto Barrientoss-Casas, 26, and Mario Salgedo-Cortez, 28, were pulled over by RCPD at 1800 Bluemont Ave., said Lt. Kurt Moldrup. The driver of the vehicle, Salgedo-Cortez, was arrested for driving under the influence, and after investigation of the passenger, Barrientoss-Casas, was found to be carrying a concealed Samurai-type sword.

In another report, a 2008 Dodge Charger was stolen and returned. The $28,000 vehicle was found at 1300 Marlatt Ave. The suspect took the rental vehicle without permission. The vehicle was rented from Thrifty Car Rental, 5500 Fort Riley Blvd.
