With unexpected scholarships opening up due to the departures of Michael Orris, Adrian Diaz and Angel Rodriguez from the K-State men’s basketball team, the Wildcats have an opportunity to sign one or two more players in the future.
Justin Edwards, who is transferring from Maine University, visited campus on Thursday as he looks for a new place to call home.
Last season, Edwards averaged 16.7 points and 5.2 rebounds as a sophomore. He does a majority of damage getting to the rim and would give the Wildcats a player who can create opportunities for himself and others in the future.
Edwards is also considering Iowa State, Creighton and a host of other schools, and he will have to sit out a season before he is eligible to start playing under NCAA policy.
