City commissioners will vote to approve the final development plans for the future downtown entertainment district tonight.

The Manhattan City Commission will vote on approving the first reading of an ordinance regarding enhanced enforcement of overcrowding violations.

The proposed ordinance considers allowing the Riley County Police Department to close a business for up to 24 hours following an incident of overcrowding. RCPD has the authority to enforce overcrowding policies and to increase the penalties for violations.

The City Commission meeting will take place in the City Commission Room in City Hall Tuesday at 7 p.m.
