Zach Smith - Army ROTC
Alum06, This is intended for when your firearm fails or you are at too close of a range to utilize it safely/efficiently. Some people, such as yourself, only look at your only means of defense (a firearm) but fail to look steps ahead at what your alternatives would be when your firearm fails you. Those that do look ahead are survivors. Those that do not tend to be the weak that prove Darwin's theory correct.

"The enemy cannot push a button if you disable his hand"Depending on firearms alone for self defense is just silly. What do you do when your gun is out of reach? I plan on taking one of these classes now.

What you are seeing are the level 1 basics of combatives; drills 1 and 2. They are meant to hold off and possibly disable an attacker until help arrives. People expect to see ultimate fighting stuff, but this is doable by everyone, and it works against different sized attackers. -SGT Mahan, KSU '98 and '04, Army '06-Present

You think this is modern combatives? I think firearms are more modern. I'd like to see you come at me and my Glock with some of this "modern combatives".
