The Southern Fried Chicks Comedy Tour is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the C.L. Hoover Opera House of Junction City.
The "Chicks" are an all-female comedy act that bases its show on the dealings of love and life.
"They kind of build themselves up as the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with better hair," said Tony Ballard, manager of the opera house.
Ballard also said the group travels nationally and is making its only Kansas stop in Junction City on Friday. The show is the top-selling all-female comedy show in the country.
The group got its start with its one-hour show on Country Music Television. Since then, its popularity has skyrocketed, according to a recent press release by the opera house.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $23 for military or students. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the opera house's Web site at jcoperahouse.org or by calling 785-238-3103.
