This Saturday night, March 13, the Riley County Police Department and Kansas Highway Patrol will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the south-central section of Manhattan, according to a press release from the RCPD. The checkpoint will run into the early hours of Sunday, March 14.
The checkpoint will be set up to detect and deter impaired drivers, according to the report. These efforts are funded in part from a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation, according to the report.
