Pfc. Dale Glen Tyler Jr., 28, was found dead in the Colyer Manor housing area of Fort Riley Wednesday morning. Tyler's name was released Thursday afternoon after the next of kin could be notified.

The soldier was part of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. The Irwin Community Hospital has not released any further details pending the results of an autopsy. The case is still under investigation.
