Beards are getting longer as we are reaching the midpoint of November, and the growing amount of facial hair on many men of K-State begs one question: what about the women?
Saying that No-Shave-November is for men only is a sexist viewpoint, and an opinion that should be changed.
Some argue leg hair on women is disgusting and unappealing, that it prevents women from being sexually attractive, or that women with leg hair are automatically “dirty.” However, that creates an outrageous double standard when compared to the results of men growing beards. Beards have the same potential to be unappealing, have negative effects on men’s sex lives and make them look unkempt.
Few people, however, say men should not participate in No-Shave-November because it will make them less attractive. We at the Collegian believe women should have that same freedom and that if they choose not to shave their leg hair throughout the month of November, it is their prerogative.
For an update on the Collegian staff member’s progress in No-Shave-November, read their articles on the Edge page.

FYI: Shaving isn't about sex or feminism, its about razor, shaving cream, waxing, and laser removal companies making bank! Research this- when did women start shaving? When society started pushing it in our faces with marketing. And its evolved into total body hair removal in the past 10 years! Shaving takes time out of a busy day I must admit I hate the days I shave its so freaking time consuming.
And to "total jerk" you think women should shave their faces? What planet do you live on? Thats a BAD idea.
