Kickoff for KU game set for 11:30 a.m.

The Big 12 Conference announced Sunday that Saturday's football game against in-state rival Kansas will be aired nationally at 11:30 a.m. on the VERSUS network. The game had also been considered for a 2:30 or 7:00 showing on ABC, but the network elected to show Oklahoma State at Iowa State as well as Oklahoma at Nebraska.

K-State is coming off a 42-30 loss at Oklahoma, but still leads the Big 12 North division with a 3-2 conference record. The Jayhawks were handed a 42-21 loss at Texas Tech on Saturday and have lost three straight games since knocking off Iowa State on Oct. 10. Tickets still remain for this weekend's game and can be purchased through the K-State athletic ticket office by calling 785-532-7606 or going online at kstatesports.com.

Actually Kstate did recieve a vote in the coaches poll lol, but I digress. Who cares if we are on ABC? Let's just win...playing Texas in a few weeks will be much more publicized anyway. Plus I like the time of our game better.

Joe: I have a feeling that if either KU or KSU had won their games this past weekend ABC would've carried it. KU is in the midst of a 3 game losing streak and even though KSU's story is great, they're 5-4. So the game doesn't scream marquee match up. If KU was still ranked, and with KSU's upswing since the Tech game then I think it'd be on ABC. Still it's on national TV and I'll be watching. In addition, I am an alum and hate KU with passion. And nothing would make my day more than to see them lose to us. Yet, there's no need to call them gay-u. Whether you like it or not, there are gay students at K-State and I bet the gay students at both schools resent that comment. No different if KU fans made derogatory remarks about K-Staters because many of their fans have friends that go to K-State. So let's stop the childish name-calling and show how classy K-Staters are.

Joe, I'm a ksu alum and fan, but it's comments like yours that show a misunderstanding of the game and make k-state look stupid. Of course ABC is going to show OSU-Iowa St. because their combined records, whether you look at overall or conference are better than KSU-KU, and of the four teams, OSU is the only one that is ranked. Neither KSU or KU even received a single vote in the polls, and like it or not the game is of no interest outside Kansas.

Are you effing kidding me? ABC would rather show Oklahoma State at Iowa State than ku at K-State:? That's rediculous!! ABC SUX!!...but of course, so does gay-u.
