Leon DeMarcus Patton, junior running back for the K-State football team, was arrested early Monday morning for theft, failure to appear and driving with a canceled or suspended license, according to a Riley County Police Department report.

RCPD Lt. Kurt Moldrup said Patton was pulled over at 2:14 a.m. Monday for a traffic violation when it was discovered he had a warrant for his arrest in Pottawatomie County for theft. That incident took place on Nov. 30, 2007.

Patton was also arrested for failure to appear for charges stemming from an unpaid parking ticket. Bond was set at $1,545.

Patton was released after posting bond and is suspended from the team indefinitely, according to the Manhattan Mercury. He had been a projected starter during spring practice.
