We, as the Collegian editorial staff, are very excited to see live music being performed in the Wareham Opera House once again.
For too long has the venue only been host to weddings, anniversaries, receptions and after parties. The stage, seating and general layout of the Wareham are much too beautiful to not house music.
The University of Kansas has long been out-playing Manhattan, in terms of bringing in national and international bands. While the city does see its fair share of local music, it would be nice to make the Little Apple a major stop at more acclaimed artists’ tours and perhaps start to rival the Jayhawks in more than just sports.
We hope with the performances of country sensation Cross Canadian Ragweed, the Manhattan community will finally realize what it’s been missing all these quiet years.
