Fraternity reports stolen crest


Members of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity reported the theft of a fraternity crest, according to a Riley County Police Department report. The crest, valued at $1,000, was removed from the house at 1919 Hunting Ave. sometime between March 13 and 23.

Burglary reported

Another burglary resulted in $13,299 in losses for two Manhattan residents. Christopher Lunsferd, 24, and Joshua Moser, 29, reported that a 50-inch flat-screen TV, another TV, a sound system, two Dell computers, video gaming equipment, video games, military gear and golf clubs had been stolen from their residence at 3215 Claflin Road between Monday and Tuesday. There are no suspects at this time.

Couch lit on fire

Police officers responded to reports of a fire on the 1100 block of Vattier Street around 10:50 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, the officers found a couch that had been lit on fire and, upon investigation, arrested Tyler Brin, 22, for alleged open burning.
