Around eight in the morning a semi carrying hot asphalt flipped over in the middle of Tuttle Creek Boulevard on Friday. A La Brisa Aspiring Photographer’s Workshop was taking place across the road in the park when the truck flipped. Brandi Mussack, La Brisa photographer, called 911 immediately. The rest of the photographers ran to the truck to check on the driver. Elizabeth DeBusk, model for the workshop, was the first to the scene. She got blisters on her bare feet from the hot asphalt. The photographers all stood around and watched as fire trucks, ambulances and police cars arrived at the scene. Both sides of the road were closed and oncoming traffic was minimal.
