In a game that went back and forth, it was the No. 6 K-State Wildcats that outlasted the Iowa State Cyclones 27-21 Saturday afternoon in Ames, Iowa.

Penalties would eventually play a big role in the game; K-State was penalized nine times for a total of 62 yards, while the Cyclones were penalized eight times for a total of 52 yards.

Senior quarterback Collin Klein continued to flourish with another outstanding performance. With 292 yards of total offense and three total touchdowns, Klein once again proved to be the playmaker for this K-State team.

However, it would be K-State’s defense who would come up big late in the fourth quarter by forcing the Cyclones offense give up two turnover on downs to clinch the game.
