The K-State Wildcats five-game winning streak against the Texas Longhorns ended on Saturday night in Austin with a 31-21 loss. The Wildcats struggled on both sides of the ball, especially on defense.
The Longhorns picked up 227 yards rushing against the Wildcats, while Texas quarterback David Ash threw for 166 yards and a score. Ash missed the second half the game with a head injury.
For the Wildcats, Jake Waters saw the field for most of the game as the Wildcats had to abandon the running game after falling behind. He threw for 275 yards and ran for a score but also fumbled the ball twice.
