After eleven years without a bowl game victory, the Wildcats broke the streak and defeated the Michigan Wolverines 31-14 in Tempe, Ariz. Tyler Lockett and Dante Barnett won offensive and defensive player of the game respectively and after starting 2-4 the Wildcats turned it around and ended 8-5.
