The K-State men’s golf team returns to action today after a three-month layoff at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational at the Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.

The two-day tournament will play host to the Wildcats and 14 other schools, including Big 12 challengers Oklahoma and Baylor.

K-State’s scorecard will include seniors Daniel Wood, Alex Carney and David Klaudt; junior Kyle Weldon; and freshman Seth Smith.

“Oak Hills is a traditional tree-lined course with smallish greens,” Norris told K-State Sports. “Daniel (Wood) and Kyle (Weldon) have played there before and their advance scouting report will be crucial for the others. I have instructed the team with the thought that ‘separation starts with preparation.’

The Wildcats will be searching for their first team title of the 2013-14 campaign after finishing second at the Jim Colbert Invitational last October.
