Tennesee regatta caps off historic season

This weekend, the women’s rowing team is heading to Oak Ridge, Tenn. for the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship Regatta. The Wildcats hope to improve on last year’s mark, when they finished third overall.

This race marks the last regular season regatta and caps off a historic season for the K-State program.
Collectively, the rowing team has won more weekly awards this season than total number of weekly awards in program history.

The team had a week off in preparation for the SIRAs. Due to the nice weather over the past week, the team has been able to make it out to Tuttle Creek to get some more experience in the water.

After the SIRAs, K-State will head to Oklahoma City for the Big 12 Championship on May 3. They will then head back to Oak Ridge for the Conference USA Championship on May 17.
