The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has taken the Internet by storm, and we at K-State are not far behind. The Collegian staff came up with our five favorite ice bucket challenge videos from the Wildcat community.
5. Kansas Highway Patrol: Director Kirk Thompson and Colonel Earnest Garcia of the Kansas Highway Patrol incorporate highway safety and ALS awareness in their rendition of the ice bucket challenge.
4. K-State Marching Band: The Pride of Wildcat Land, led by Frank Tracz and Amy Renz, decide to take a break from the heat of band camp with an entry into the ice bucket challenge.
3. Pat Bosco: K-State Dean of Student Life Pat Bosco decides to skip the cold water and donate to ALSA, but his fraternity brothers at Delta Sigma Phi have other plans in store.
2. K-State Men’s Basketball, Reagan Kays and Kirk Schulz: An all-star cast of SGA President Reagan Kays, K-State President Kirk Schulz, head coach Bruce Weber and the entire K-State men’s basketball team respond to the challenge thrown down by Governor Sam Brownback and the Kansas Jayhawks in true Wildcat style at the 2014 Pep Rally.
1. Bill Snyder and K-State Football: When Bill Snyder agrees to dump a cooler-full of ice cold water on Ryan Mueller, you know it’s a trend. Our number one entry features Coach Snyder and the K-State football captains in an ice bucket challenge of epic proportions.
