New 3DS announced
On Friday, Nintendo announced the latest addition to the 3DS family. Some considerable changes have been made to the system, such as a second analog stick on the right side of the system, and extra ZR and LR shoulder buttons. An updated central processing unit is also being added to the system, along with a few other bells and whistles. The new 3DS is to launch in Japan on Oct. 11, with an international release expected some time in 2015.
‘Assassin’s Creed: Unity’ delayed
Ubisoft has delayed “Assassin’s Creed: Unity” until Nov. 11. The title was originally scheduled to launch on Oct. 28. “Unity” will be launching alongside “Assassin’s Creed: Rogue,” and will be playable on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. “Rogue” will only appear on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
‘Saints Row IV: Re-Elected’ and ‘Gat Out of Hell’ announced
“Saints Row IV” is being re-released on PS4 and Xbox One as “Saints Row IV: Re-Elected.” Also announced was the “Gat Out of Hell” expansion. “Gat Out of Hell” will be a standalone release, meaning it won’t require a copy of “Saints Row IV” to play. Both “Gat Out of Hell” and “Saints Row IV: Re-Elected” will release on Jan. 27, 2015. “Gat Out of Hell” will retail for $19.95, while “Re-Elected” will go for $29.99, or in a bundle with “Gat Out of Hell” for $49.99.
Grand Theft Auto V re-release to have an updated soundtrack
The PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of “Grand Theft Auto V” are going to have updated soundtracks, according to information tweeted by Cara Delevingne, who voices the host for the in-game radio station “Non Stop Pop FM.” Rockstar confirmed this information via Twitter. “Grand Theft Auto V” is expected for re-release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in fall 2014.
‘Peggle 2’ coming to Playstation 4
PopCap’s peg-shooting puzzle game is expected to release Oct. 14 for the the PS4. “Peggle 2” was previously exclusive to the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
‘Persona 5’ pushed to 2015, coming to PS4
The fifth installment in the critically acclaimed “Persona” series will be coming to the PS4. The first teaser for the game announced that it would be released winter 2014 on PS3. According to a recent Japanese-language teaser released by Developer/Publisher ATLUS, the game is slated to release 2015 on the PS3 and PS4.
