The strong Wildcat defense again played an important role as the Wildcats beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders 58-51 in Bramlage Coliseum January 14, 2015. The win over Texas Tech was the ‘Cats’ third win in a row, bringing their Big 12 conference record to 3-1 after suffering a huge loss at Oklahoma State, beating TCU at home, beating #16 Oklahoma in overtime in Norman, and now claiming victory over Texas Tech at home. Including Texas Tech, the Wildcat defense has now held ten straight opponents to less than 65 points, the longest streak since 1983.
