
K-State women’s tennis (6-7) will kick off their Big 12 season against No. 27 TCU and No. 17 Texas Tech this weekend at Mike Goss Tennis Stadium.
The Wildcats will celebrate Fort Riley Day with a pre-match color guard ceremony today at 1 p.m. as they face-off against TCU. The Horned Frogs are riding at three-game win streak with a 7-5 overall record and a 5-0 all-time record against K-State.
K-State will then host Texas Tech on Sunday at 11 a.m. The Lady Raiders are 10-3 this spring, but are 4-6 all-time against K-State in Manhattan.
The Wildcats fell to the Iowa Hawkeyes away from home last weekend, 4-1, but sophomore Palma Juhasz was able to extend her winning streak to six.
Sophomores Iva Bago and Livia Cirnu have been reliable for K-State as well. Bago has reached 14 wins, a career-high, including seven wins this spring. Cirnu has 13 wins; three more will match her win total from last season.
Following TCU and Texas Tech, K-State will host West Virginia and Iowa State the following weekend to cap off their Big 12 home schedule.
