After a week away from the course, the K-State men’s golf team travels to Eugene, Oregon to take part in the two-day Duck Invitational starting this morning.
The two-round tournament will be played on the par-72 Eugene Country Club, featuring 16 teams.
“We are looking forward to getting back out on the West Coast and competing in this event,” K-State head coach Grant Robbins said to K-State Sports. “The field is very strong, and from everything I’ve heard, Eugene Country Club is a fabulous course. I know the guys are excited for the challenge.”
In their last time out, the Wildcats managed to tie for fifth place at the Tiger Invitational in Opelika, Alabama.
During that tournament, the Wildcats finished with only two competitors in the top 20, with redshirt sophomore Matt Green carding a team-best four-under par 212 to tie for seventh place and sophomore Seth Smith with an even-par 216 to finish tied for 16th.
Both days of the Duck Invitational will tee off at 8:30 a.m. today.
