With one year of eligibility remaining, K-State women’s basketball juniors Deborah Meeks and Ashley Jones have announced they will not return to K-State next season, that according to a press release sent out Monday.

Both Meeks and Jones transferred to K-State after successful junior college careers at Trinity Valley Community College and Palm Beach State Community College. The two saw limited minutes this past season; Meeks averaged 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. Jones averaged 2.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in six fewer contests (23) than Meeks (29).

Meeks is on track to graduate from K-State in May with a degree in social science. She intends to pursue a graduate degree in nursing at another school.

Meanwhile, Jones has already announced that she will conclude her collegiate career at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri.
