An accidental fecal release has closed down City Park Pool for the day, according to the Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department. Additionally, all swimming lessons scheduled for Wednesday have been cancelled.
Officials wrote about the incident on the department’s Facebook page.
“Due to an accidental fecal release at City Park Pool, the pool will be closed the remainder of the day. While the AFR was in one portion of the pool, we are concerned about cross contamination and are therefore closing the entire pool for the remainder of the day.”
