Good Day Sacramento and Cara Delevingne, supermodel and actress, started off the morning with an uncomfortable interview about her upcoming movie Paper Towns.
This is beyond awkward. WOW. Shame on you @GoodDaySac – At least keep it professional. Poor #CaraDelevingne http://t.co/y641MxQaqj

The interview started off with Marianne McClary, Good Day Sacramento anchor, introducing Delevingne as Carla. The interview went downhill from there. So naturally fans of both turned to Twitter to support their choice.
we should all boycott @GoodDaySac #BADDAYSAC !!!!! (stole naylis pic) pic.twitter.com/oTbKg2UhP0

@GoodDaySac Yeah, your news anchors should be ashamed of themselves. Middle-aged men and woman baiting a 22 year old…really?
— Naomi Long (@naomi_short) July 29, 2015
Tweeters were offended by they way they treated Delevingne while she was on air and after they pulled the plug on her interview.
Woah just watched the interview with @Caradelevingne on good day Sacramento and those anchors were trying to upset her! They were so rude.

"You make $5 mil for 6 wks worth of work. I think you can talk to Good Day Sacramento with some oomph!" Whatta jerk https://t.co/ZPP5YKViLZ
— Catherine Thompson (@KT_thomps) July 29, 2015
@GoodDayMarianne @GoodDaySac anchor Marianne McClary is a joke. Unprepared and unprofessional. "Carla" "did you read the book?". Pathetic.

Hey @GoodDaySac maybe you should know the personality of an interviewee before you talk to them. I.E. @Caradelevingne #Unprofessional

One host criticized the actress for not having any “oomph” in her interview. One tweeter could not get over this and began a series of on-going tweets ridiculing this statement.
If you don't bring the necessary "oomph" with you to Good Day Sacramento, may God have mercy on your wretched soul.
— Vikram Murthi (@fauxbeatpoet) July 29, 2015
Good Day Sacramento, the bastion of American journalism, requires its subjects to be filled with "oomph." There's no substitute for "oomph."
— Vikram Murthi (@fauxbeatpoet) July 29, 2015
You may think "pizzazz" or "sparkle" are acceptable in place of "oomph," but I'm afraid, my dear, that you would be wrong. Only "oomph."
— Vikram Murthi (@fauxbeatpoet) July 29, 2015
Twitter fans rallied for support of the actress who is known for her snarky and sarcastic remarks. Even Delevingne tweeted defending her responses to the interview questions.
Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour
— Cara Delevingne (@Caradelevingne) July 29, 2015
*sarcasm
— Cara Delevingne (@Caradelevingne) July 29, 2015
While Delevingne and her fans defended her actions, some tweeters were in favor of the news team.
if you hot shot celebs think you can not bring your A game to Good Day Sacramento, you got another thing coming!
— brian donovan (@thebriandonovan) July 29, 2015
The Good Day Sacramento crew have hands down been my favorite anchors to watch for years! Both parties didn't mesh https://t.co/ffvqsNJPVH

@BWJohnsonMusic @GoodDaySac @Caradelevingne I actually thought she was being kinda snobbish. I don't think the newscast meant to be rude.
