On Aug. 20, a MacBook Pro and iPad Mini were taken from the residence of Randal Regnier, 22, from the 2400 block of Himes Road. The total estimated cost of the taken items is approximately $1,650.

At about 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 24, Robert Jentges, 30, unlisted address, was arrested for protection order violation and criminal trespassing. The incident happened on the 6000 block of Tuttle Terrace.

A three-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of College Heights Road and Sunset Avenue in Manhattan at about 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 24. Madison Hays, 18, of Manhattan, was westbound in a 2006 Jeep Commander on College Heights Road when she collided with Kevin Williams, 34, of Manhattan. Williams was southbound in a 2001 Buick Century on Sunset Avenue. Hays then collided with a 2014 Hyundai Accent. Trenton Cranker of Lamar, Missouri, was parked in the Hyundai on College Heights Road. Hays received a ticket for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign. Williams was taken to Via Christi Hospital.

On Aug. 22, from the 300 block of Houston Street, Tim Zinowsky, 31, of Manhattan, a pedestrian, was taken to Via Christi for pain in his left knee after a collision with a 2001 Ford Escape, driven by Max Zinowsky, 20, of Manhattan. The collision occurred when Tim Zinowsky attempted to guide Max Zinowsky into a parking spot, and authorities and emergency services were contacted and responded around 6:52 p.m.

On Aug. 22, near the intersection of South Scenic Drive and Fossil Ridge Drive, police and emergency services responded to a report at approximately 5:03 p.m. of a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Brady Deville, 37, of Wakefield, losing control and leaving the roadway. Deville was taken to Via Christi with leg injuries.

On Aug. 22, at approximately 12:53 p.m., police and emergency services responded to a report of an auto accident near the intersection of Westport Drive and Claflin Road, which caused injury to the driver of a 2002 Toyota Camry, Caleb Throop, 20, of Manhattan, who lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway, colliding with a concrete barrier. Throop was taken to Via Christi with minor injuries

At approximately 7:27 a.m. on Aug. 22, police and emergency services responded to a report of a single-vehicle auto accident near the intersection of Anderson Avenue and 52nd Street. The driver of a 2004 Jeep Liberty, Mariah Kieffer, 20, of Clifton, exited the roadway after losing control. Kieffer was taken to Via Christi with a back injury.

Shadow Hosier, 27, of Manhattan was arrested on Aug. 21 around 12:34 p.m. for a warrant including domestic battery, battery, criminal damage to property and criminal deprivation of property as offenses. Hosier is still confined on a $5,000 bond.

On Aug. 21 at approximately 8:21 a.m., Diondre Daniely, 19, of Raytown, Missouri, was arrested by the Riley County Police Department on a warrant from the Riley County District Court for aggravated battery. Daniely is reported still confined on a bond of $7,500.

A robbery report in the 1200 block of Moro Street in Manhattan was filed on Aug. 22 around 2:24 a.m. Larry Carmody, 69, filed a report that a person unknown to him forced him out of $40 cash. Carmody was left unharmed after the incident and the suspected person left the scene on foot. An arrest is yet to be made and authorities will pursue the investigation. They are requesting that anyone with information regarding this incident contact Riley County Police Department or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
