President Schulz announced over Twitter at 6:53 a.m. that all classes are cancelled until K-State Police give the “all clear” notice. Officials at Manhattan Christian College also announced a lockdown as well.
Riley County Police were unavailable for comment. K-State Police referred the Collegian to Steve Logback, associate vice president of K-State Communications and Marketing. He said he urged students to not go to the university.
“The search continues for the subject at this point,” Logback said. “We advise students to stay away from campus at this time.”
