Despite temperatures in the lower 40s and a slight bone-chilling breeze, K-State alumni and fans again showed their dedication, loyalty and resiliency by flooding AutoZone Park, the home of the Memphis Redbirds minor league baseball team in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, with purple for the K-State Alumni Center Liberty Bowl Pep Rally January 1, 2016. Fans did the Wabash Cannonball along with the Pride of Wildcat Land marching band. They heard from K-State President Kirk Schulz, Athletic Director John Currie, Head Coach Bill Snyder and the team captains thanked fans for remaining loyal and consistent through the thick and the thin, inspiring the players to never give up despite a long string of losses and low odds of reaching bowl eligibility this past season.
