A solid first-half performance and a large lead over No. 7 Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse midway through the first half was not enough to propel the Wildcats to victory over the Jayhawks in Lawrence. During the second half, the Wildcats accumulated a season-high 27 personal fouls and 23 turnovers, causing them to repeat recent history, falling to the Jayhawks 59-77 in the first leg of the annual Sunflower Showdown on Feb. 3, 2016.
