Today is World Cancer Day; with more than 100 types of cancer, World Cancer Day focuses on the disease of cancer specifically, rather bringing awareness to a specific type of cancer.
In 2012, there were over 14 million new cases of cancer. Over 8 million people lost their lives to a type of cancer during the same year, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Users have used this day to remember those who have lost their lives to any type of cancer.

Cancer is a terrible disease without a cure, take some time to remember those who have lost their lives and encourage those who are still fighting to stay strong.
