Did it seem a little more windy than usual today? Well, it should have. The U.S. National Weather Service placed Manhattan under a wind advisory until 6 p.m, due to wind speeds up to 20 mph and gusts upwards of 33 mph.
It was clear early on that navigating campus in such wind was going to take a little extra motivation.

Kelly Welch, assistant professor of Family Studies and Human Services, saw the wind as an opportunity for some DIY beautification.
Everybody on campus rockin the new Kansas hairstyle today. I like to call it "wind."

One person was reminded that they need better weather protection.
Days like these I need me a blanket scarf #KansasWind

Even our resident campus pup Cayenne Schulz got in on the windy fun, both on Twitter and on campus.
Yes it's windy @ Prez Rez too. New business building is loud as wind whips plastic. I love chasing leaves though? https://t.co/yccKB2l5iu
