The Pink and Purple Polyester event took place at the K-State Alumni Center on April 22, 2016. The event was organized by the Johnson Cancer Research Center to raise awareness for breast cancer. Staff and K-State students helped with the organization of the event, and the Blues Brothers were the winners of the event, which raised $13,120 for cancer research.
