Kansas State men’s basketball head coach Bruce Weber is scheduled to receive the Graven award on Tuesday in Waverly, Iowa. The award, which is presented annually by Wartburg College, will be presented to Weber on account of his philanthropic efforts.
Weber was nominated for the award by a couple from Champaign, Illinois, for his faith and commitment to his church community as well as his support of Lutheran Social Services and Coaches vs. Cancer charities.
The Graven award is in its 27th year and is given to a person “whose life is nurtured and guided by a strong sense of Christian calling and who is making a significant contribution to community, church and society,” according to the Wartburg College website.
Weber will be presented the award at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Levick Arena inside the Wartburg-Waverly Sports and Wellness Center.
