Engle, Garcia named K-State ambassadors at homecoming game halftime

Halftime of Saturday’s homecoming football game versus Texas saw the election of two new ambassadors for Kansas State.

Paige Engle, sophomore in public relations from Overland Park, Kansas and Mario Garcia, junior in family studies and human services from Shawnee, Kansas were chosen by the student body in an online election held Thursday.

Since 1977, the ambassadors have represented the student body at Alumni Association events throughout the state and at university activities. In addition to other duties, they visit with alumni and prospective students.

Other female candidates were Ashley Ebeck, junior in finance and accounting from Wellsville and Gaby Riggs, junior in marketing from Shawnee.

Other male candidates were Matt Grosdidier, junior in mechanical engineering from Lenexa, and Trenton Kennedy, junior in entrepreneurship from Frankfort.

Last year’s ambassadors were Mandy Marchesini, senior in marketing from Loudonville, New York, and Hunter Post, junior in kinesiology from Beloit.
