Talley ties for fifth at MountainView Collegiate

Senior Madison Talley led the way for the Kansas State women’s golf team at the MountainView Collegiate, tying for fifth as the team tied overall for sixth.

Talley shot a 2-under par at the MountainView Golf Club and was 3-under during the final two rounds.

Sophomore Chloe Weir, who competed as an individual for the Wildcats, placed 26th shooting a 6-over par. Junior Connie Jaffrey wasn’t far behind with a 7-over par, which tied her for 27th.

Senior Paige Nelson shot a 10-over par, which tied her for 44th. Freshman Tash Carlsson tied for 47th with a 12-over par and senior Katherine Gravel-Coursol tied 55th with a 15-over par.

Wanasa Zhou of Arizona won the tournament with a 13-under par. Arizona also won the team standings, as the team shot a 14-under par.

Next up for the Wildcats will be the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate in Stockbridge, Georgia, on March 26-28.
