Zoofari Tails Storytime
June 23, 2017, 10 a.m. – noon at Sunset Zoo
Zoofari features frog and salamander stories presented by Sunset Zoo staff. Children can also explore animal artifacts such as furs, feathers and skulls.
History of the Big Red One
June 25, 2017, 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Manhattan Public Library
This event will feature history of the 1st Infantry Division, also known as the Big Red One, from Robert Smith, director of the Fort Riley Museum. This specific division of the United States Army turned 100 years old this month.
