1. Iowa State (6-2)
The Cyclones shocked college football once again when they knocked off their second top five team in the country, Texas Christian University. Iowa State made a huge jump in the national rankings to number 15, and they sit alone at the top of the Big 12. They will put their four-game win streak on the line when they head to West Virginia University to take on the Mountaineers this Saturday.
2. University of Oklahoma (7-1)
The Sooners are rolling again. They took control in the second half against Texas Tech last weekend and walked away with a 49-27 win. Oklahoma moved to number five in the country and has a great opportunity to get a spot in the College Football Playoff if they can keep it up. The Sooners will have their hands full this weekend when they head to Stillwater, Oklahoma, to take on the No. 11 Oklahoma State Cowboys.
3. Texas Christian University (7-1)
The Horned Frogs hit their first road block of the season when they ran into the Iowa State Cyclones, but ultimately only fell to number eight in the country. TCU looks to get back on track and keep their playoff hopes alive against a tenacious University of Texas Longhorns team this weekend.
4. Oklahoma State (7-1)
Oklahoma State took down a good West Virginia team last game and continue to improve after their one and only loss to TCU. The Cowboys have a chance to make a statement on Saturday when number five Oklahoma comes to Stillwater, Oklahoma. A win on Saturday would put the Cowboys on the map as a true playoff contender.
5. West Virginia (5-3)
The Mountaineers struggled against a tough Oklahoma State team last weekend. Next up for them is red-hot Iowa State.
6. University of Texas (4-4)
Texas made easy work of the Baylor Bears, and they continue to get better and better each week. This is not a team anyone is going to want to play at the end of the year. The Longhorns will look to pull off an upset against No. 8 TCU on Saturday.
7. Kansas State (4-4)
The Wildcats made the game with the University of Kansas a little closer than a lot of fans expected, but a win is a win. This weekend, they will head to Lubbock, Texas, to take on Texas Tech in a big game for both teams who want to stay in bowl contention.
8. Texas Tech (4-4)
Texas Tech hung around with Oklahoma in the first half, but the Sooners just had too much firepower for the Red Raiders. This weekend, the K-State Wildcats will come to town in what should be an exciting game.
9. Baylor (0-8)
Baylor takes their losing streak to eight games in a row after being smothered by Texas 38-7. This season just continues to drag on for the Bears, who will hopefully get their first win of the season when they play the KU Jayhawks on Saturday.
10. University of Kansas (1-7)
KU suffered another loss Saturday. The Jayhawks made the game close, but ultimately fell to the K-State Wildcats. KU will play Baylor this Saturday.
