1. University of Oklahoma (9-1)
The Sooners made a huge statement on Saturday when they routed Texas Christian University 38-20. Oklahoma continues to impress week in and week out and has put itself in prime position for a spot in the top four team and a chance to compete for the National Championship in January. This weekend, they face the University of Kansas, which will essentially be a bye week for the Sooners.
2. Texas Christian University (8-2)
TCU took a tough loss to the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, but the Horned Frogs still have a chance to compete for the Big 12 Championship this season. They have a chance to get back on track Saturday when they hit the road to take on Texas Tech.
3. Oklahoma State (8-2)
The Cowboys spent no time dwelling on their tough loss to Oklahoma and got back to their winning ways on Saturday with a 49-42 win over a very good Iowa State team. This weekend, a stingy Kansas State Wildcat team comes to Stillwater, Oklahoma.
4. West Virginia (7-3)
West Virginia won a tough one in Manhattan this past weekend, beating the Wildcats 28-23. The Mountaineers are continuing their impressive year and keeping their Big 12 Championship hopes alive. This weekend, the Mountaineers host the University of Texas.
5. Iowa State (6-4)
Iowa State took a tough loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday and is looking to rebound this weekend against a Baylor team that still only has one win this season.
6. University of Texas (5-5)
Texas made easy work of the KU Jayhawks, winning 42-27. The Longhorns are nowhere near where they want to be, but they continue to improve as a team. They have a chance to make some noise against West Virginia this weekend.
7. Kansas State (5-5)
K-State suffered a heartbreaking loss to West Virginia on Saturday. Although they lost, this Wildcat team has showed a lot of resiliency in the past couple weeks. They’ve got their hands full this weekend when they head to Stillwater, Oklahoma, to take on the Cowboys.
8. Texas Tech (5-5)
The Red Raiders beat the Baylor Bears 38-24 on Saturday. They face TCU this weekend in what will be a huge test for them.
9. Baylor (1-9)
Baylor’s horrible season continues. They took a two-score loss to an average Texas Tech team and have to play a tough Iowa State team next.
10. University of Kansas (1-9)
The Jayhawks continued doing what they’ve been doing for years: losing. After a big loss to Texas, the Sooners are coming to town. Kansas has a chance to pull off the biggest upset of the college football season, but they probably won’t.
