He’s making a list, checking it twice … Bill Snyder is going to find out who’s naughty or nice!

As the Cactus Bowl approaches, Kansas State fans all across the country are probably wishing for something in the bowl game. Whether it be a win, or something very particular.

In honor of the holiday season, here is my wishlist for the bowl game. A lot of bold predictions and hot takes.

I wish for … Skylar Thompson to hit 250 passing yards

Now, I know some of you may be sitting there and thinking, “This girl is crazy,” but let me tell you why I put this on my list.

As a freshman quarterback, Thompson has showed his potential to be a fantastic quarterback more than once. He’s very young, still fresh and is ready for the next big thing. He’s capable of being the next great quarterback for K-State.

Thompson has made improvements every single game.

At the University of Kansas, Thompson threw for 40 yards. At Texas Tech, he threw 96 yards and passed the winning touchdown in overtime. Against the University of West Virginia, 159 yards. At Oklahoma State, 204 yards and three passing touchdowns. Against Iowa State, 152 yards and the winning touchdown pass in the last five seconds.

He has shown growth, maturity and strength. It’s time to execute it.

I wish for … D.J. Reed to return a kickoff

Yes, he’s back and it’s time for something fast! In case you need a quick reminder…

It feels like an eternity since Reed last played, but he’s back and ready for another return. Reed can run super fast and get just about anything done in a blink of an eye.

I’m sure I speak for a lot of K-State fans by saying it’s great to have him for this game. Let’s hope he does something great.

I wish for … Will Geary to get a sack

Will Geary, a fan favorite on the defensive side.

For this season, he has 44 tackles and 4.5 sacks. The last recorded sack was at Oklahoma State, for a total of 1.5. Geary is among the other K-State players that always seem to be in the right place at the right time.

For his senior season, Geary deserves to go out with a bang.

I wish for … a pick-six

We all are sitting here wanting one.

We want a big play, one that can either further advance us forward or one that changes the entire course of the game. In past games, we have had great luck recovering and making it down the field after intercepting.

The question is, how lucky are the Wildcats feeling?

I wish for … a Wildcat win

Alright, we all knew that one was coming.

The last time K-State met UCLA, they lost 40-35. The Wildcats could be able to pull this one off, with their starting quarterback Josh Rosen out.

My score prediction: 35-21, K-State
