Two Kansas State football players — junior wide receiver Byron Pringle and junior defensive back D.J. Reed — have been invited to the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine.
The NFL released its list of 326 participants on Tuesday, and the event will take place at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis.
As a defensive back for the Wildcats, Reed finished his career with a 32.2-yard career kickoff-return average, ranking second in school history. After the 2017 season, he had finished with four interceptions, ranking second in the Big 12.
Pringle, who was primarily seen as a wide receiver for the Wildcats, recently played in Reese’s Senior Bowl. During that time, he was one of the top receivers during that week. Pringle finished second in school history in career yards per reception with 19.64 and sixth in both kickoff-return average and total yards.
The NFL Combine begins Feb. 27. On-field workout will begin on March 5 and will be televised on the NFL Network. Pringle will be seen with the wide receiver group on March 2, and Reed will be with defensive backs on March 3.
