Governor Colyer was sworn in as the 47th governor of Kansas on Jan. 31 in a packed statehouse rotunda. Colyer promised to not allow the closure of Kansas schools; meanwhile some lawmakers remain unsure. Rep. Scott Schwab said following Sam Brownback will pose a challenge for the new governor.
