Man drives into Aggieville storefront

A 23-year-old student crashed into the storefront of Tanner’s in downtown Aggieville at the intersection of Moro and 12th streets, halting business for the remainder of the night.

Jesse Wells, freshman in secondary education, was arrested by Riley County Police officers Tuesday at approximately 10:50 at the 1200 block of Moro street on charges of driving under the influence and failure to report the accident.

The damage to the storefront was superficial, but Tanner’s remained closed the rest of the night due to the accident.

Wells was held at the Riley County jail with his bond set at $1,000
