Mental Wellness Week is co-sponsored by P.A.W.S. and K-State Counseling Services to mentally support students during midterms. Here are the events going on this week:
Drawing Out Your Emotions
What: K-State Counseling Services and P.A.W.S. are co-sponsoring this art event to support mental wellness during midterms. Pizza, markers and mandalas are available while supplies last!
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday
Where: Bosco Student Plaza
Stomp the Stigma
What: In recognition of mental illnesses, students will have the opportunity to stomp out mental illness stigma with bubble wrap.
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday
Where: The Quad
Lego my Eggo
What: According to the Student Union Program Council website, UPC is co-sponsoring this event is with Counseling Services, P.A.W.S. and the Wildcat Wellness Coalition to recognize mental well-being. This event will offer waffles to eat and Legos to play with.
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday
Where: Bosco Student Plaza. If it rains, the event will be held in the Bluemont Room in the Kansas State Student Union.

Carl’s Cause Tailgate
What: This event was created to celebrate the life of alumnus Carl Specht, a 2013 K-State graduate, who died by suicide in 2017. According to the UPC website, the tailgate will “feature free snacks and Pepsi products, fun games and a donation to Katie’s Way in Carl’s name. University resources about mental health awareness will also be available.”
When: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday
Where: The north side of the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex
