Glenn is a pit bull mix available for adoption in Manhattan. (Meg Shearer | Collegian Media Group)

Glenn is a 1- to 2-year-old pit bull mix who has been in foster care for about three months. He was saved by Purple Power Animal Welfare Society hours before being put down.

Glenn is very smart, cuddly and loves to give kisses. He loves playing with toys, playing fetch and having something to chew on. Since Glenn is young, he has lots of energy and enjoys going on runs.

He has been tested around cats, but his foster mom doesn’t think he would be good with cats. With dogs he needs a slow introduction, especially with large dogs.

Glenn is a great dog if you are looking for a companion. He loves to be right by your side all the time. He likes to watch you cook, ride in the car with you and watch movies.

Since he came to Purple PAWS, he no longer has separation anxiety, food aggression or toy aggression. One thing he hasn’t fully gotten past is being calm around other dogs in public. With a little bit of training, that can be resolved.

If you would like to adopt Glenn, please fill out an application at www.purple-paws.org. The adoption fee for dogs is $200. This covers the cost of getting spay and neutering procedures, shots and preventatives.

Purple PAWS is dedicated to helping save the lives of abused, neglected and homeless companion animals. They are a non-profit charity that mainly pulls dogs and cats from death row.
