The Riley County Police Department is investigating an unattended death Tuesday morning in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center Plaza, per a department press release.
Police arrived on the scene at approximately 10:30 a.m. and identified a 46-year-old male as the victim. The body was discovered in the parking lot.
“It is not believed to be suspicious at this time,” the press release reads.
Officer Rachel Pate said the investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
The investigation will not affect Manhattan Town Center’s hours, but the current inclement weather may cause issues if conditions worsen.
“Unless the power goes out, the mall will remain open to anyone in the public,” a representative said via the mall’s Facebook page. “Individual stores may be closing due to the storm, but it’s their decision.”
