Jianzhong Yu, associate professor of anatomy and physiology, studied what these proteins’ functions are and why they could suppress tumors. Professor Yu also believes that this study could be applicable to animals, which is good news for our furry friends. A graduate student, who worked on the study as well, shows how to break down the cells and collect their data.
