The Special Olympics Games were held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates this year, from March 14 to 21. Over 7,000 athletes competed in the games, including Manhattan’s own Mallory Morris, a 24 year-old track athlete. She competed in three races, earning third place in the 100-meter, fourth in the 400-meter and seventh in 4×100 meter races. At her first practice back home, her team presented her with a trophy, celebrating her achievements at the World Games.
