On Sunday, the Kansas State tennis team came away with multiple victories in Dallas, Texas. The Wildcats faced off against a plethora of teams on the last day of the Southern Methodist University Invitational.

Redshirt sophomore Rosanna Maffei and junior Ioana Gheorghita secured wins in singles competition, with Maffei scoring 6-0 and 6-1 for a dominating first victory on the day.

Gheorghita, who lost her first match of the day, bounced back to win her next two matches with scores of 0-6, 7-5 and 10-5.

To round out the weekend, the Wildcats went home with three singles and one doubles victory. For Gheorghita, this is her second weekend in a row where she has won two or more matches, the last being at Auburn last weekend where she placed third.

The Wildcats will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the ITA All-American Championships starting on Oct 5.
